Hi, Does anyone have any information they could share on 6 Base Supply Depot, RASC, Italy? We know my grandfather served in Algiers as part of Operation Torch (he had a yellow apron with the 8th Army emblem and Nov -8 19-42 stitched on it). He also served in Italy at least until 1946. We have photos of him in Venice and Cortina D'Ampezzo. We also have a dinner menu (covered in signatures), dated May 1945, that again shows the 8th Army emblem, along with 6 B.S.D. and R.A.S.C. written above the menu items. I realise asking for the service records is the best option, but my son has to complete a school project by October 25th, so won't receive the service records before then. A trip to Kew is also out of the question as I am currently in Texas. Any information anyone can share would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
