Many, many thanks for posting these RemeDesertRat - a handful of men that I am researching are included. A few of them I had not seen a photo of so it is very much appreciated.

Do you or anyone else know if these were part of a bigger series? Where can I find them or any similar source?

    Cheers

Glad it was of help, the thread I referred to is here

As far as I know it was a request for photos from readers of WI made post war, so there wasn't such a lot of time before the publications stopped, so not many pics in the great scheme of things.

What would be really good if you had the time would be to list all the names so that they could be found by 'Google' & suchlike.

PS. I think this page (which is page 88 of my copy) may be the first page of the War Illustrated's Roll of Honour. Someone out there must have the pages after this one and before those RDR has posted, to complete the set.

PPS. Just noticed that RDR posted this page already on the other thread he refers to in post 7!!!

I think I may have missed a couple, when I downloaded the complete set to a folder my computer didn't sort them all correctly, so I'll have another look through to see which I missed, and then sort them all in date order.
