Hi, I am just starting to research my fathers military record. Sergeant Frederick Skidmore served in the western desert, Sicily and Italy mostly on 25 pounders. I know in March 1943 he was on the Bishop SPG photographed infront of "Grenadier Hill". This may be the "horseshoe feature" on the Mareth line but the identity is at best vague and so I cannot find the unit designation.
I want to record what I remember of his stories in a meningful manner. A unit would be a start.
    Can anyone please help.
