WAAF from ESSEX

    I would be most grateful for any information on Rose Eleanor Moule, WAAF born 1904, died October 3rd 1980, served WW2 and became a sergeant.

    ROSE ELEANOR MOULE


    The birth records show that Rose was illegitimate. Unfortunately the baptismal records for 1904 are not online. Her date of birth is 5 December 1903.

    She went into domestic service and is shown on the electoral roll at the following address1929 and 1933 Servant for Beatrice Emily Chesham at 113 Ladbroke Road, Kensing1937 and 1938 Servant for Hazel Wells Bishell at Flat 5 Sloane Street, ChelThe 1939 Register taken on 29 September 1939 shows her at the same address.

    She died in the Bishop’s Stortford Registration District in 1980.

    Probate record:

    Rose Eleanor Moule of 35 Twyford Avenue Acton London W3 died 3 October 1980. Probate Ipswich 14 November - £3,816.

    Hello,

    Her service number was 892616. That alone tells you nothing other than she was never gazetted.

    In order to obtain her RAF records, you will need to apply here:

    Get a copy of military service records
