    Cummings in his 'Though Without Anger' gives the following re the loss of BV247

    "The aircraft was on a routine flight to Maison Blanche, Algeria via Gibraltar and had a crew of three and eleven passengers. Shortly after take off the aircraft collided with an enemy aircraft and crashed into Newquay Bay and all on board were killed. The passengers were two French officers, two Polish couriers a staff officer travelling to Cairo, an expert in Greek affairs travelling to that country, a Canadian / Hungarian en route to an SOE assignment, three SOE officers and an MI6 officer. Unfortunately their names were not confirmed"

    The Form 765 for this loss shows a crew of four and 12 passengers.
