The gatehouse, even if you opened it out again would continue to give a BEF "Bergues with a Bulldozer" feeling.

    I love it!
...and close to a golf course.

I would be happy to invest in order to obtain a nice top-floor apartment, so long as we are allowed to re-fill the moat with foul water to keep the local Demetae warriors out.

You appear to be under the illusion I might share my fort...
    Pfft,
I'd possibly make my own children interview for a place.

Also, TBH, nobody wants to live near me, especially if/when I get my hands on space like that.
Burnt out landrovers, constant night time angle grinding, experimental fireworks etc. etc. Tends to devalue the leasehold.

I've loved that Victorian Military aesthetic for a long time.
Anyone that's visited Fort Nelson and other 'Palmerston's Follies' knows it well.
Just something spot on about form and function.

Hadn't looked at the virtual tour and drone video.
Very good. Does look like someone tried starting a proper domestic/commercial conversion.

    I guess you are right.

The constant droning from your Battery of 3D printers, and the effin' & blinding every time you try to kick-start your Tiger tank would probably drive me nuts!

Adam, I see some walls that need a good duab of midnight plaster smeared on them.

Maybe start with a smidge of chipping, just to clean up the edges a bit?

von Poop - my first car was an 73 Series III LandRover. Had an overdrive installed for better mileage. When it broke down, I could get it running too. Knew how to time it and easy-peasy oil change. Love the simplicity of cleaning the air filter too. Rinse in gasoline and voila! Done. Now when I raise the bonnet of a modern car I think I'm looking at Darth Vader. Where's the engine block?

If your neighbors ask about angle grinding, tell them you're putting iron into the soil. Teacher saw me filing with one hand and eating with the other. He asked what I was doing. "Putting iron in my diet sir."
