On day following captured at KLEIDI (Greece) by Brigade Commander 7 SS Gebirgsjaeger Regt. Interrogation was brief & consisted in a series of attempts to show that they already had complete information & asking confirmation. No ill-treatment was suffered. 4. ESCAPES attempted: Did you make any attempted or partly successful escapes? What happened to your companions?) Yes. Partly successful escape on march after capture. Acted alone & was recaptured on same day - 14 Apr. 1941. Participated in unsuccessful tunnels at BIBERACH (1941), DUSSEL in WARBURG (1942). Was engaged continually for first 2 years in captivity in preparations, none of which came to fruition. 5.
