Albert Fairhurst (1082200) RAFVR, POW

I am looking for any information on:-

1082200 ACM2 Albert Fairhurst RAFVR, who was killed on the Suez Maru on 29.11.1943.

I am aware of how he tragically died but has anyone any details of what unit he was with and how he became a POW?.

He is listed on Colunm 429 of the Singapore Memorial and I would be most grateful if anyone could provide me with an image.

In short, any and all comments gratefully received!.
