    Nicks,
Noticed that you mention you knew Jeff Gascoigne quite well. I know he has passed away in February. Luckily he knew that the Lancaster he crashed with, is going to be excavated. What I am looking for are pictures of the crew, they seem to be no where. Can you get in touch with relatives? Maybe other relatives of other crew members? I know it is a long shot but am getting desperate. We are going to use the pictures in school lessons for elementary kids who will visit the crah site.

Corine, the most likely places for photographs of the crew will be either with relatives of the crew or the RAF Squadron Association.

You have the contact details, so try them - if WE had photos we'd be only too pleased to provide them....

It may well be that you won't get photos in time, so why not use, say, the Bomber Command Memorial sculptures as a "Fall Back" in case you don't get them?

In the meantime a lot has happened here in Werkendam. The Lancaster has been excavated and the remains of sgt. Keogh have been found and identified. A funeral was held here on Thursday June 30th and a Lancaster Monument for all eight crewmembers was unveiled. A good day.

I have made some progression in tracking down families. Right now I am still looking for family members of:
    sgt Samuel Dickson Rogerson
    f/o Thomas William Ball
    sgt Frank Sheard
    sgt Thomas Duff

The reason I am searching for info and pictures is because I am planning to write a book (or booklet) about this plane, its last mission, and its crew.
