    It might be a long way to Tipperary but it's much longer from New Zealand to northern France. One of the 'tankies' supporting the 2nd New Zelander Brigade in the battle for Eaucourt L’Abbaye on 1 October 1916 was a fellow from my home area in N.W. England (Jacob Glaister DCM MM).
