    Hi,

I am new here, and just saw this picture of the grave of Roger Bennett. I was wondering if anybody could help me a little with my research.

His Original grave was one of 13 graves in Wommelgem, Belgium. He was the only British between 12 Canadians. The population flowered heir graves until they were removed in 1945.

I cannot find out much about gunner Bennett and his unit (115h HAA Regiment, 59th Army Group Royal Artillery). From what I have from the CWGC site, he was killed in an accident on October 3, 1944.

I am especially interested in his service record and a picture of the gunner, as well as anything on the unit in the period between September 18 and October 5, 1944.

    Can anybody help?

    Thank you.

    Niko.

Hello Niko and welcome to the forum.

I cannot help you with details regarding his unit, but if you are interested in his service records, you can apply to the MOD for them. Link here

I am sure someone else will be along soon to help with other details.
