This Gentlemans son would like to know about hisv fathers service record - he was born in 1918 and joined the army in 1933/5 was based in Kettering, and was under age at 15 when he joined. His service number was 5884108 in 1945 and he was in the Intelligance Corps then - can anyone help please as Geoffrey seems to have disappeared between his birth and death in 1988!

Hi, Just to clarify OP comment of "underage enlistment". Boys could serve/enlist officially in the British Army from Age 14 - the minimum age for leaving school in the 1930's. The comedian/actor Norman Wisdom is one of the "famous" boy soldiers of that era. Steve Y
