Just watched the first episode. As I'm currently undertaking a BA in Modern History, it tweaked my interest from the reasearch point of view - how many details that would need to be reasearched, and were they researched accurately?

I did enjoy it, it's a "what-if" and I can't deny I've often wondered what would have happened if Britian had not been able to stand fast. Similarly, I've thought the same for Australia - the Bombing of Darwin being remembered this past week, and how it may have panned out if an invasion by the Japanese, had been successful.

Thankfully they are just "what-ifs" - I'd hate to be reading history theses with the storylines being actual facts, instead of fanciful TV programs or movie storylines.

Eh, No, you would love reading about the history, as it would have been true and the "What-ifs" would be about the allies winning.
You would be a completely different person, than you are.

Thought the second episode was better - liked the intrigue surrounding the government in exile in the USA.

As for what-ifs, I've always believed we are going to be ruled by monkeys - I think I saw this in a documentary once. Events in the US seem to be proof this is already happening.

Protagonist (of sorts) is a weird one, not least as he has demonstrated no clear brilliance. Despite everyone telling him he is.

Also doesn't seem to get much, if any, policing done.
