Currently reading The Kamikaze Hunters by Will Iredale which tells the story of Fleet Air Arm pilots in the Pacific.
Currently reading A.Stephen Hamilton's Panzergrenadiers to the Front: The Combat History of Panzergrenadier Division 'Brandenburg' on the Eastern Front.
Have ordered the full set of Foote's Civil War and looking forward to another interesting read (not WW2):
I've given up on Rude Mechanicals so now I'm reading Delaforce's With the Black Bull (history of the 11th Armoured Division in NW Europe).
The Sherman,. Design and Development. A complete and illustrated description of the US M4 Sherman Tank series in the Second World War. Finding it really good as I am building up the interior detail of my Dragon 1/6 scale Sherman M4A3. Regards Tom
Now reading Delaforce's The Battle of the Bulge. His writing style feels slightly peculiar for this type of book.
Reading this now. An interesting look at "cooperation" between the British and Americans as they prepared for D-Day.
Aaaahh, french reader... Now I know who is going to help me with my Bir Hakeim (and Indochina) reading
Ugh... I finished Delaforce's Battle of the Bulge. Not very happy with it. At times I found the text was tedious, and the occasional oddness in his writing style bugged me. On a more positive note, at home I am reading The Royal Canadian Armoured Corps: An Illustrated History, and it is both gorgeous and excellent. (It's too big to take with me on my bus to work.) I got it out of the library... it would cost a mint to own. edit: wait, I lie, there are some reasonably priced copies on abebooks!
Charles More, "The Road To Dunkirk" Just picked this up today - a mere 99p for the Kindle version. http://amzn.eu/2vJxHol
