Greetings Everyone, I'm in need of some help with finding out some information about where my Granddad served during WW2. I have a list of units he served with and dates and the first one is No.1 Line of Communication Motor Transport Company from 02/09/39 until 23/07/40. Between these dates he is also listed as part of the B.E.F from 12/09/39 until 18/06/40. I'm not sure if he was part of the Dunkirk evacuation or another evacuation. Any pointers of where to look would be most helpful. Thanks

WO 167/1097 is the units war diary ref at the National Archives covering their arrival in France up to May 1940 so it may not cover their evacuation.

The unit was under Rennes Base Sub Area and consisted of 7 officers and 266 Other Ranks is all I can tell you as I don't have a copy of the diary.
