Just to get clobbered all over in less than three years... :m11:

Mussolini´s dream of a modern Impero Romano down the drain from day one, courtesy of a handful of already betrayed French soldiers in their Alpine forts, to be followed by shoeless Greeks, under-equipped Commonwealthers, etc., etc., etc.

And what is the wisdom of picking stronger enemies than yourself? It was all fine and dandy with that cozy colonial strategy of a little push here and there, trouble started when he got in alliance with the Austrian know-it-all and things got too big.

    Now, this is interesting:

Would the tenants down in the Med had kept the status-quo forever? Or was it just a matter of time, Adolf or not, before the Crimson Rider was to begin his tour?

Besides Benito should have known better; he had the numbers, but WW1 fighting experiences weren´t exactly on his side...

When Italy joined World War II in June 1940, British-Italian men were rounded up and interned.

Joe Pieri was just 21 years old and living in Glasgow when he was arrested and sent to a prison camp in Canada.
