My Great Grandfather was Capt. R G Read 93818 of the 118th Field Regiment RA (1941-45) and was captured at the fall of Singapore,I wonder if anyone has Regimental history or photos of the 118th available at all as there is very little online, I don't have many photos of his time in the 118th at all and maybe some out there does? Thanks Simon

simon, my grandfather was a gunner in the 118, he's buried at Kanchanaburi. i've picked up a few bits and pieces over the years, but maybe a good starting point for you is to google Gus Ankorn who was a driver in the regiment and has been responsible for much publicity for the regiment, singapore and fepows in general. he died a couple of years ago but i was fortunate enough to meet him a few times before his death
