Have seen it flying , at St. Angelo several years ago , it has some parts in it made from fabric of NJ175 of 422Squadron which crashed near Belleek on 12/8/44. It is quite a big bird.
You are a tease James as I could not help “clicking” when I read your opening post. I love the Catalina one of my favourite world war two aircraft. I have had a few pints of the black stuff at Mahon's Bar and I agree about the menu and I was “tall enough to hit that flying boat”.
