    Just tested OK (0755 GMT).
There's several useful sites that can test whether a site is up or down (eliminates possiblity it's you!)
    Is it down right now?

    Hi,

Strange, I keep getting this 404

I've cleared cache, cookies etc but no change.

Can I ask, if you've gone to the site, have you tried a search, that's when it fails.

I too get the 404 error message when searching. Graeme. Seems the database may have an error, as I can still see all my orders.

Lee mentioned on twatter that there was some auto update that'd caused a problem & should be fixed soon.
    Will find the tweet.

Sorry everyone, there was an automated software update to arcre.com that broke much of the website.

All the critical pages are now working again but the war diary search engine is going to take a lot of re-coding. So it might be unavailable for the next week or two sadly.

Also due to an avalanche of orders over the last six months, combined with me being sick over Christmas and New Year, I am rather behind with copy orders.

Hopefully normal service will resume next week and can crack away at the back log.

I'm still not sure what effect the changes to document ordering policy at the National Archives starting in March will impact what I can do. The recent reduction in ordering hours has caused problems. It is particularly a problem copying lots of small files under 100 pages. Watch this space. 2020 has not got off to a great start!

    Best wishes,

    Lee
