Lists of the top personnel of the Vichy government, diplomatic service, press, radio and political parties, with an accompanying alphabetical Who's Who.

The first Pétain Cabinet came into power on 16 June 1940. The Third Republic ceased to exist on 10 July 1940, when the National Assembly abdicated the powers of Parliament. The Vichy regime lasted until the liberation of France by the Allies four years later. On 20 August 1944 both Laval and Petain were reported to have left Vichy. The French government was taken over shortly afterwards by the Provisional Government of the French Republic.

This Who's Who is limited in scope to the top personnel of the Vichy government, diplomatic service, press, radio and political parties. It gives information on the specific connection of these persons with Vichy institutions at any time between 16 June 1940 and early August 1944 .

The first part of the Who's Who contains lists of all cabinets in power under the Vichy regime. It lists the cabinet members and the top personnel of each Ministry. It includes lists of the executive committees of the main political parties by party and of the newspaper personnel by newspaper. In addition there are lists of Vichy diplomats and of the most important radio personnel.

The second part is an alphabetical list of all persons mentioned in the first part of the Who's Who with accompanying biographical data . Additional biographical data may be obtained from the issuing office. Every effort has been made to secure as, complwte coverage as possible from the Journal Officiel de l'Etat Français, the French newspapers available in this country and the Federal Communications Commission's monitoring reports. These sources were supplemented by certain standard reference books.

Same for me too CF, and have tried the link in two different web browsers.

Brithm, if you can sort the link out that would be great as I'd be extremely interested in its content too.

Kind regards and good luck with it, always,

    Jim.
