I saw the Headstone of the following soldier today -

    Thomas Harold Dowley
    Royal Army Service Corps
    1 Corps Ammunition Park

    Died 12th March 1941.

Was "1 Corps Ammunition Park" in one particular place or did it move around?
I have never seen reference to this before.

Can anyone give me some information please?

A Corps Ammunition Park would move broadly wherever the Corps HQ were located but sub-parks would be located at division level. After 1 Corps returned from France in 1940, it remained in the UK as 1 Corps District until 1944.
