    During the desert war, at various times the 11 Hussars had an extra Squadron which was an RAF unit, the RAF no 2 Armoured Car Company. This (and 1ACC) were formed in 'Transjordan' in the 1920's and both fought at various times in the desert campaign. 2ACC was under command of 11H as their 'D Sqn'.

    If anyone needs more details regarding the activities of the 11th Hussars (PAO) during WW2, including squadron reports, casualty lists, and decorations received etc.

    I recommend the Journal which was published at the end of hostilities and is very informative.
