    Remembered with Honour.
At his age, there may be WW1 records for him?
There seem to be 2 possibles, Private 1785 Manchester Reg't then 126214 Labour Corps, entitled to 1914 Star as in France 27 August 1914 and a SWB card for Cpl 691466 in Labour Corps who enlisted 25/-4/1910 and discharged Sick 28/02/1919. No addresses or middle initial so may be neither!

I hope he managed to get to Jersey after the Liberation to see his wife before he died.
