My search has left me a bit empty handed so I am posting this for help. Were there any Canadian Officers assigned to the 131 FR that was assigned to the 15th Scottish Div in Normandy? Also is there a way to determine the FOO(s) that were in the Regiment?

    John,

I've had quick look in Code Word CANLOAN by Wilfrid Smith and the answer seems to be no, at least for CANLOAN.

I've got a copy of some of the war diary (WO171/992) and there are a couple of mentions of OPs for Op Epsom.

320 Bty OP party was led by Capt Peppiatt and went missing on 26th June before turning up again on 28th. (According to unit war diary).
319 Bty OP Party led by Captain Mundie were killed by mortar fire on 30th June.

    I hope that helps.

    Regards

    Tom,

Thank you for the info! Yes I had seen the war Diary published online with the 15th Scottish. Thanks again.. I will try to dig more into their locations and the men. Hopefully I can find the OP with 46th Brigade.

Well I should clarify, 131 was assigned to 46th Brigade and maintained that support during Epsom. So pin pointing the OP which seems to be two of mention in the diary. However I wonder if there were only two?
