Hope this is ok to join this thread, I have this large framed photo of the 14th Corunna Field Battery R.A Winners 4th Field Regiment R.A Light and Heavy Weight Tug-O-War Team 1939. I would somehow like to pass it on to a museum/relative trace history etc hence I googled it and it brought me to joining this forum, any ideas/direction to forward this great photo to where it can be appreciated and enjoyed please would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

This is a great thread and a fantastic collection of images. The HMSO publication "Moving the guns" has a short appendix on Vehicle developments in India, These all show 1st Field Brigade. This book gives the February 1934 as the date that 4th Field Brigade was first listed in RA distribution lists as mechanised.

Does the RA Archive know about these images?

The RA Museum is your best bet.

14 Corunna Battery were awarded the honor title "Corunna" in 1936. In 1947 it was renumbered 17 "Corunna" battery and was still in existence until 2018 when it was placed in suspended animation. This means they might bring it back some time and the battery property is held IRRC by the RAI -which also runs the RA Museum. Any relative of someone who served in 14 Battery would be likely to be made very welcome by the 26 Regiment Old Comrades Association, who would probably like a copy of your photo.

Thank you for the compliment and I am pleased that the thread has finally been noticed. I stopped adding to it because I thought that no one was interested. I have a few more photographs that I can upload.

I do not imagine that the Royal Artillery Archive are aware of these images.

They are now. I sent a link to the archivist and told her how good they were. ;)
