    His Majesty the KING has been graciously pleased to confer the Military Cross on the underm entioned Officers and Warrant Officers in recognition of their gallantry and devotion to duty in the Field:—
    Capt. Robert Eric Barnsley, R.A.M.C.
    For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty when in charge of an advanced dressing station. He tended the wounded under heavy hostile shell fire when impossible to bring them to the dressing station.
