1 RAR Diggers (and 161 Batt RNZA) added to US 173rd Airborne Memorial for the period 25 May 1965 to 1 June 1966.

1 RAR was embedded with the US 173rd Airborne in Sth Vietnam and the first time non US troops have been commemorated on the memorial.

What about the New Zealanders of 161 Battery RNZ Artillery? They manned the 105's L5 Pack howitzers, they were attached to the 173rd Airborne from around July 1965 untill they joined the 1ATF Viet Nam. At least two of these Kiwis died while their unit was attached to 173rd Airborne.

I would not have a clue
If they are not a part of the association then it is their problem.

    Why???
I'm naught to do with them, I was just commenting that they were fighting along side 173rd & 1RAR.

Keep your shirt on, you could have checked the names against the photo (too hard basket?).

I did and they are listed

No it is not in a too hard basket. It is in the, "it is just so damned easy basket", that if you want to know the names of those Kiwi Gunners who died during this period then look them up yourselves. Should only take a few seconds. Which you did, congratulations.

I decided to only mentioned that two men were killed during this period, I had no desire to post their names as I decided that i did not need to. Yes i did look them up before i posted.

My shirt is on maybe you should check yours as it seems you are finding things i have not written, and editing of text after someone has commented on them.
Except for the Down Under heading on the memorial, I do not see anything showing the actual nationalities of the men on the above photo of the memorial for those who fought alongside the 173rd. To find the names of these two men it was needed to search elsewhere and then check it against the names on above photo.

    Cheers mate
    All the best

    Keep on editing mate,
First post now includes 161 Bty RNZA. No explanation as to why it has suddenly appeared
Post Three has had a massive amount of deletion.

You are a very sensitive little chappy thingy aren't you. You have misunderstood and or misinterpreted much of what I have written. Whether you have done this through ignorance or because you can is debatable.
My last post was a attempt to stop any BS between us however it is obvious you have other intentions, as it has been obvious right from the time i posted my first post on this subject earlier today.
You have been confrontational and even rude to someone who only asked about a obscure little Arty Battery that was fighting with the 173'rd. You IMO jumped right from the start trying to find fault in my posts and you went to the extent of editing your posts after I had commented on what you had posted in the threads.

You have had nothing of any real interest to add this thread except your "Original first post. Which has been edited.
So imo you have had absolutely no constructive input into this conversation since your first Original pre edited post.
