    Birth recorded in Dunfermline 1920, reference 424/982. Will is also available via Scotlandspeople website. Can't see his service return though. TD is likely right with the above, but why registered so long after date of death?

    Maybe because it went through the the civil registration system ??

    Died Early Jan 46 and registered into the civil system Mar 46 - so possibly 7 or 8 weeks
