Many thanks. It looks like he was buried in Dunkirk cemetery and reburied in the same place. I wonder if they were all buried in the civilian cemetery with the WW1 graves down the road and then re-buried in the CWGC cemetery as we know it today.
Penny dropped - he died at the CCS with the 'Red House' and was buried in the field next door and then moved to Dunkirk Cemetery.
