Did anyone else go? I went on Sunday afternoon to hear Marguerite Patton's talk on living on wartime rations. She must be well over 80, but she is still a very fine speaker and it was very enjoyable. There was a reasonable range of military vehicles on display and what I am sure was a "Higgins boat" type landing craft in the water. I didn't know there was one still working in Britain, but it chugged up and down the harbour a few times. It was interesting to see how many re-enactors were dressed as civilians, particularly women and many were very well turned out. One memorable sight was two men in GI style walking out unifirm driving along Bristol's streets with two women dressed for the 1940's in a wartime model Jeep.
