    Afternoon people,

    Was at Kew found more 1st Airborne Division Prisoner of War names, whilst trying to find 6th Airborne Div POWs, found something written by Pte. Shellbourne of the 1st Parachute Battalion whilst a POW. This was probably for M.I.9.

    I hope you find this of interest and possibly help for your research.

    I will try to get the other names up ASAP.

    Hi All,

    Yes I know all about this have a good few myself, some in fact are not known by the authors of Arnhem books... There are a good few of them SAS GPR, Paras and more...And Walshie will see what I have on Richard...

    I checked my files and found one R Walsh, David is his number 6409559 ??? also do you have a photo of Richard I could have to add to my collection please ??? Let me know if thats his number ???

    It would appear that your Father was the Batman to Father Egan, the 2nd Battalion's Roman Catholic Padre, and in all probability was captured with him at the Bridge. I have sent you a PM.

    Thanks lads

    I dont have a number for him but we are digging out his attic as we speak !!!.He died in 1977 and the info is a bit thin on the ground.
    I will try get a photo up soon.
    This is great stuff my father will be thrilled

    When out and about with a good friend of mine we took this... Captain Rev Bernard Egan who is buried at Wimbledon Gap Road Cemetery and a war time photo...
