Afternoon people, Was at Kew found more 1st Airborne Division Prisoner of War names, whilst trying to find 6th Airborne Div POWs, found something written by Pte. Shellbourne of the 1st Parachute Battalion whilst a POW. This was probably for M.I.9. I hope you find this of interest and possibly help for your research. I will try to get the other names up ASAP. David It would appear that your Father was the Batman to Father Egan, the 2nd Battalion's Roman Catholic Padre, and in all probability was captured with him at the Bridge. I have sent you a PM. John
Thanks lads I dont have a number for him but we are digging out his attic as we speak !!!.He died in 1977 and the info is a bit thin on the ground. I will try get a photo up soon. This is great stuff my father will be thrilled David.
