    Hi Phil

Looking at the dates you have I think Martin Mullen was my great uncle - his sister Annie was my maternal grandmother. I know little about his service life except his death affected my mum greatly as she was quite young (14) and he was her favourite uncle. I would be grateful for any info you have on him.

    Regards
    Jane

Jane, pm on its way with contact email. In the meantime.

    Hi Phil,

I see that this is a very old post but I would be very grateful of any information you have on Harold Durbin. He was my mother’s father who was killed when my mother was 13 months old.

    Best wishes,
    Natalie

Hi, Sorry to jump on, I’m new here and I’ve never posted anything like this before.
I’m wondering if anyone has any photos or anything at all of the 1st Battalion South Lancashire Regiment.
My great grandad Pte.Vincent Ernest Tennant served, we know he landed on sword beach, got to La Londe and was killed either on or just before Pegasus Bridge on 28th June 1944.
My grandad and I have been looking for more information and photos but have found non. Any information is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    Stephanie,

Welcome aboard. This site can be a great help and a bit addictive. This is a rather old thread, with much information on the battalion. Alas a lot of the contributors have faded away or came for a short period, not to be heard of again (You can see by hovering over their name in the avatar).

As you have created another, new thread on your grandfather it would be best to stick to that one. Absorbing the info will take time I expect.

Your new thread is: 1st battalion south Lancashire regiment
