When requesting some information regarding family members, the people at the museum there managed to search their archives and they churned up the following should anyone be interested or maybe recognise a name.

    Hi
I was in the 2/7th Batt. QRR. Same Brigade as the 2/5th. Do you know anything of our actions August to December 44?
I was wounded trying to take a town called Faenza on December the 7th 44.

My father Stephen Charles Smith was a Sergeant in RAMC 210 Field Ambulance 2/ 5th Battalion Royal West Surrey 169 Brigade 56th London Division. He was at Enfidaville Salerno Anzio Monte Camino.

Does anyone have any connection with 210 Field Ambulance or have a relative who was in 210 or possibly knew "10 Ton Smith" as he was known because of his energy and devotion to duty? We heard of Musgrave KIA Enfidaville and Jock Christie KIA Salerno or Anzio.
A map of 2/5th in Italy would be wonderful.

I hope to make a pilgrimage to Monte Camino in particular to honour my father and all his brave comrades the like we rarely see today
    Stephen Smith
