• "Maj.-Gen. Angus Lyell Collier was born on 10 November 1893 at Darjeeling, India.2 He was the son of Thomas Edward Collier and Catherine Adamson.2 He was baptised on 11 December 1893 at Darjeeling, India.2 He died on 7 September 1971 at age 77 at Royal Northern Infirmary, Inverness, Inverness-shire, Scotland.3
  He was commissioned in 1914, in the service of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders.2 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945.2 He was Military Governor of Cyrenaica in 1943.2 He was GOC of the 3 District, Italy in 1944.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He retired from the military in 1946, with the rank of Major-General.2 He lived at GlassburnG.1"
