The 2FFY Field Return of Officers for the 12/08/44 lists the following 24L officers having joined from 257 C.D. Sqn

Lt P.R. Northern, joined 3/08/44 to A Sqn (W.I.A. 21/08/44 near Gace. His name is spelled with the extra r but the return for 26/08/44 when he is listed as wounded has dropped the r. The war diary entry for 9/08/44 which notes him joining spells it correctly)
    Capt. B.L. Frewin, joined 4/08/44 to C Sqn (W.I.A. 22/9/44 at Asten)
Capt. D.W. Voller, joined 4/08/44 to A Sqn (He was W.I.A. on 10/09/44 near Hechtel but is listed as re-joining again on 13/01/45)
    Lt F.W. Fuller, joined 4/08/44 to C Sqn (K.I.A. 5/04/45 at Glissen)
Capt. B.A. Jewell, joined 4/08/44 to HQ Sqn (Technical Adjutant)

I can't see any mention of an R.G. Tarver having joined

Steele Brownlie refers to Lt Northen being wounded in his memoirs. He also refers to him as Tim.

    21st August
The country was rough, but we found a bridge intact. Lieut McNinsh was brewed up and wounded, and Tpr Shearer was captured by the enemy group, who withdrew. We went over the bridge, and I fanned out to left, to be fired on from bushes on the riverbank. I brassed up the area, and there was no more trouble. Tim Northen’s troop went right, and his leading tank was hit. The crew baled out unhurt, except for one man left wounded in the turret. Tim dismounted and went to help him, but as he climbed on to the tank the enemy gun fired again, and Tim crawled back with three fingers missing from his right hand.

    Re. Richard George TARVER (308995).

I can't, currently, specifically see a further reference i.e. after August 1944 in the London Gazette.

From what I can gather I don't think it was known if he was later, for instance wounded, or if he perhaps possibly transferred to another regiment.

There is a ref... online, that might have been him...

    Surname:TARVER
    First name: Richard
    Middle name(s):George
    Date of death:18 August 2004
Last address of the deceased - Warwickshire.

    A Squadron - 2nd F&F - War Diary

    25th December 1944:

In the early hours of the morning orders were received that the Regt were to leave Namur and move south in preparation for offensive action.
In clear and frosty weather the Regt set off, 'A' Sqn leading on the Marche road. The preliminary concentration area at La Fontaine was soon reached. Here there was a halt and the Sqn deployed in defensive positions. Christmas dinner for most people was bread and cheese and a cup of tea, although 3 Tp were lucky and knuckled in on an American billet and did themselves well.
It was later learnt that 2nd US Armoured Div were in the area and were taking over our responsibilities.
The Sqn harboured round the cross-roads, protected by a platoon from 'F' Coy. Hard frost made guard duties an intensely cold job.
