I do a bit of model making (Mrs says to much!) and I was surprised by the lack of information on how the 25 pdr & limber were secured to the tractor unit. Every kit, detailing set & pictures of completed kits just show the gun & limbers collar resting in the hooks? Surely this would bounce out on any type of rough ground or under rapid breaking? Can anyone help with information, I would prefer pics, but a good concise description may help - something is better than nothing.....sometimes. Really any help will be appreciated. Many thanks in advance Chris
There are some reasonable views in the first 5/6 posts here: Talk Model Toys: 687 1957-1967 25-Pounder Trailer
Chris, Not sure wher you live, if in England, google "Garrison" and see the guns in person. They do demonstrations and show in and around the south. Fort Nelson used to have 2 or 3 guns and limbers, near Fareham. Regards Lawrence
Thanks for so much info so quickly. Sorry Lawrence live in NW & I am fairly housebound (except for the occasional model show, if I can get a lift). Owen great pics, is the first a 'modern' safety feature or is it original but painted up? I think from these pics I can sort out something.....again many thanks. Chris
If anyone got a better view (closer, different angles, etc) I will proceed on the information obtained
Sorry not to up on techie stuff, tried to paste some pics in but error as files to big, don't know what to do
Chris, Google them anyway and ask for some photos of the particular items. They used to have several different quads. If you are after the CMP quad, try your local MVT. Lawrence
Cheers Lawrence, nothing on google for 'Garrison' it's under 'The Garrison' & emailed local MVT, now I'm getting somewhere fast.........yay

Thanks Tom & to everyone that have replied & given me so many links & so much advice. I can now get on with final touches to the kit. Again many thanks to everyone Chris
Hi Chris. Cropping a pic can reduce the KBs. For example the pic you posted is 819 KB. the same pic here cropped is now 78.4 KB. yet still shows same detail.
