Someone posted a Memoriam to Trevor on this site recently when I was taking a look from afar. Could you please get in touch. I am not related but am aware of him through the 67th FR History. Sorry if this is the wrong place, move it if necessary.
Yes that is what I saw and wondered why it was posted. He died alongside someone that I am familiar with and have researched the exact circumstances of the event. However I want to know who I am corresponding with and in private if I am to reveal my findings. It is not something that I feel is subject for gossip.
You dont have to reveal any of your findings to me or the forum. I posted this when we ran a Remembering today thread for a number of years which showed up random casualties of WW2 each day. It is an act of remembrance. regards Clive
Trevor was the Survey Officer he had recently joined the 67th from the 19th Field Regt. He was in 446 Battery before he took up the appointment of Survey Officer. His medals seem to have been on sale recently, which whilst seemingly a little sad may have been so for good reason. Which is why I found it strange to be mentioned here. Do you intend to carry on posting acts of Remembrance. I would do so for the rest of the crew of the Jeep he was in posting it on 2nd Sept if that was the case, together with others of the 67th mentioned in their diaries etc. I would need to go down the casualty list which I have in my files.
Have you searched to see if they are presently remembered - no point in doubling up. It also does not have to be done on the day itself, the important thing is that they are remembered TD
I will take a look, what is the best key word to search as I find that is the problem, my brain doesn't seem to work like some of those posting contents or whatever they are called. I am now finding a lot of interesting subjects by going through threads page by page. Something to do when I need something to do, which is often. Its called retirement. Lots of time but little money.
