I am trying to combine all the accounts/film/photos of the actions around Authie on June 7th. Szamveber (Waffen SS Armour In Normandy, Pg 40) footnotes they 'lost 28 tanks,...... of these 21 destroyed and only 7 remained undamaged' which is sourced to Reynolds (Steel Inferno, Pg 69) who says they 'lost 28 tanks with 7 more damaged' a different total. The 27 CAR War Diary mentions they lost 15 tanks but for some reason Reynolds does not use the Regiments War Diary for this figure (though he does use it for other details in the same chapter) and instead sources his numbers from The War Diary of 2nd CAB. I have the tank States for 27 CAB but they do not report on June 7th. The June 8th numbers show the Brigade (3 Regiments) had 21 M4 repairable in under 24 hours and 38 longer than 24 hours but I am pretty sure that includes the June 6th losses. Anyone got the 2nd CAB June 7th entry?
