Map Ref 667950, Sheet 122/II, 1/50,000. This Serjeant commanded No. 10 Platoon during the action at HAMMAM LIF on 9th May 1943. His Platoon came under heavy Machine Gun fire during the attack on the DJEBEL. By his personal courage and example he got the whole of his Platoon to their objective.
