2nd Batt East Lancs 1944 India?

    Hi can anyone tell me what the 2nd Batt East Lancs Reg was doing in 1944 in India. I am looking for information on this man. Up until two weeks ago, I had access to all our local WW2 newspapers as I work for a small local museum but they have gone to be scanned now and I suddenly realised I had missed looking up this man. Thanks in advance for any help. :)

    No problem. You might be better off trying to obtain the war diary for this period as it would offer more details.

    The official Casualty List reports him as having "Died", which generally implies from illness rather than from wounds.
