    42 (Alem Hamza) Battery has been in and out of suspended animation over the past couple of decades. Most recently it was the centralised support battery for the units on Thorney Island. Back in 2008 I was the battlefield historian for the battery when it was a drone battery. The last British army unit with the red shitehawk badge. There is an active Old Comrades Association and they retain the traditions of 31 Field Regiment
