Looking for details of a J.V. Hewitt a Private in 2 N. Staffs Regiment.

On 7th April 1944 he was reported missing with Private George Martin 14350165 when the patrol was under fire from a machine gun / rifle grenade attack.

Martin was reported missing, presumed killed so has no grave, just a memorial at Cassino.

Nothing on JV Hewitt, so may have been captured or survived war. No CWGC etc.

Could be a John Vincent Hewitt, Born 1911 from lancashire. Any help would be great
