40 Motor Coach Coy RASC

    Can anyone please help with information on this company, particularly where it was based and its main duties. The reason I ask is that I have just been told that they were stationed for some time in my home village of Dipton, Co Durham but I have never previously heard of them.

    In 1940 40 Motor Coach Company of the RASC was based at Fawley in Berkshire. It had 9 officers and 160 other ranks.
