    Does anyone know the whereabouts and actions of the 4th Somerset Light Infantry between March 1945 and October 1946? Any help will be appreciated

    B Company – Edendorf east of Bienbüttel
    C Company – Jelmstorf south-east of Bienbüttel
    D Company – Bargdorf south of Bienbüttel
    15 May 45 – to Winsen north-west of Celle
    29 May 45 – to Fallersleben west of Wolfsburg
    4 Jun 45 – to Wülferode south-west of Hannover
    10 Jul 45 – to Gifhorn south-east of Celle
    17 Jul 45 – to Beedenbostel east of Celle
    20 Jul 45 – to Bergen-Hohne
    4 Jun 46 – command to 6th Guards Brigade of Guards Division
    RHQ: Spey Barracks formally Kriegsmarine Kaserne Buxtehude and Cuxhaven relieving 2nd Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise’s) – disbanded by 31 Oct 46

    Cuxhaven had side by side Darlington Barracks formally Marine Offiziersheim Kommandantur and Dundee Barracks formally Grimmerhorn Kaserne
