Good morning everyone, I'm hoping someone here may be able to help. I'm looking for any information on the 552nd AA Bn duirng their time in the UK and in and around the Utah Beach area. THey landed soon after D-Day and helped form part of the defences in the area for the off loading of troops/supplies etc. This is for a friend of mine who's Grandfather served with the unit for the duration of the war but they have very little information other than that he was in this particular unit. I've tried Google but with little joy, any help would be greatly appreciated!
If it helps, I can give you an explanation of how air defence was used in Europe by the US but this is at Anzio rather than Normandy. FdeP
