Deacs Well i am from Cumbria.

I have been looking through the West Cumberland Times of 1914, and I found this story so I thought I would share.

It is about a Private MacDonald of Cockermouth, who trained a fox cub and took it to Barrow with him. I became a favourite with the officers and men they made it their mascot and when they would go to the continent they would take it with them.

I wonder if they did take it with them, if they did I can't imagine it would last long.
