Hi In last week's visit to Kew I looked at WO203/2069 REME Personal Accounts as accounts of REME in this Campaign are hard to come by. It is made up of a number of reports, often at a Divisional level, of the activities of REME and IEME units in the 1944-5 period. These make interesting reading. These two documents provide some extra detail on the REME/IEME units who were at the Briasco Bridge when it was attacked in February 1944. Although this action was far behind the 'front lines' it often only merits a sentence in the books I have read on the Campaign in the Arakan.
