Evening all, posted in wrong theatre this morning,my brother-in-laws Grandfather was KIA in Italy
I've traced him as Gunner James Hall.
Killed 5/11/44 and interred Meldola war cemetery,CWGC records show
him buried with two other comrades with the same date of death,I wondered if anyone with a knowledge
of the regiment or Campaign could shed some light on events, perhaps they were the same gun or
    vehicle crew?
    Regard's Steve.

I have the regiments war diary. Give me a nudge over the weekend and I'll dig out the pages covering his date of death.

Looks like he was killed in a RTC along with two others. Hopefully someone can check CWGC to confirm the other two men.

I hadn't realised where Meldola was until now,I visited the area a few times we used to holliday in Cattollica
Dad must have been in the same area with the 56th Div,he took me up to Gradara where they were billited
and we visited the beautiful cemetery,he crossed the Po and ended up on the Yugoslav border.
