Would the total number of men in the Battalion, and its Weapons (War Establishment) have been the same as a contemporary (1942) "British" Machine Gun Battalion?
Would the total number of men in the Battalion, and its Weapons Establishment have been the same as a contemporary (1942) "British" Machine Gun Battalion? Can't say with 100% certainty but Indian Army units usually had the same organisation as those from the British Army, so I would say that they were (almost) the same.
