CL1 -
this is a bit odd as the 45th RTR was disbanded after El Alamein in '42 and personnel scattered - the last fighting in the Bengazi area was in '43 on the march to Tunisia - so from the age of this chap - I would assume that he was with some transit camp or such and had an accident of some kind - but we can still remember him.
